Roasted Chicken
A whole chicken is marinated with an assortment of spices, herbs, soy and oyster sauce for five hours before being roasted in the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 tablespoon cinamon powder
- 2 tablespoon cloves powder
- 2 tablespoon pepper
- 3 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 2 tablesppon onion paste
- 1 small bunch of thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Clean the chicken and wash thoroughly
- Pat dry with a kichen towel
- In a large bowl mix all the above ingredients except the butter and chicken
- Put the chicken in the bowl and apply the mixture from the previous step
- Refrigerate for 5 hours
- Preheat oven on 350 F (180 C)
- Paste an oven proof utensil with butter and transfer the chicken in the utensil
- Cook for about 1 hour
