Roasted Chicken

A whole chicken is marinated with an assortment of spices, herbs, soy and oyster sauce for five hours before being roasted in the oven.

Ingredients

  1. 1 whole chicken
  2. 2 tablespoon cinamon powder
  3. 2 tablespoon cloves powder
  4. 2 tablespoon pepper
  5. 3 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  6. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  7. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  8. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  9. 2 tablesppon onion paste
  10. 1 small bunch of thyme leaves
  11. 1 tablespoon butter
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken and wash thoroughly
  2. Pat dry with a kichen towel
  3. In a large bowl mix all the above ingredients except the butter and chicken
  4. Put the chicken in the bowl and apply the mixture from the previous step
  5. Refrigerate for 5 hours
  6. Preheat oven on 350 F (180 C)
  7. Paste an oven proof utensil with butter and transfer the chicken in the utensil
  8. Cook for about 1 hour
