Grilled Chicken Barbecue
Chicken is marinated with spices, herbs, lemon juice, soy sauce and honey for over 12 hours and cooked on the grill with a simple brushing mixture.
Ingredients
For the chicken
- 4 pieces of chicken legs (Skin on)
- 2 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- A bunch of finely chopped thyme leaves
- 2 branch of rosemary leaves (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon gloves powder
- 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
For the brushing
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Wash the chicken and pat dry with a kitchen towel
- Marinate the chicken with all the above ingredients (except the ingredients for brushing the chicken legs )
- Refrigerate overnight
- Heat the grill and spray some cooking oil so that the chicken do not stick to the grill
- Combine all the ingredients for brushing the chicken in a large bowl and mix well
- When the grill is nicely heated put the chicken legs on the grill
- After 10 minutes brush the chicken legs and flip on the other side and brush
- Check the chicken and at various intervals and keep turning and brushing the chicken until it is cooked
