Grilled Fish

Fish, stuffed with sliced lemon, is marinated with spices, herbs, lemon juice, soy sauce and honey and cooked on the grill with a simple brushing mixture.

Ingredients

For the fish and marinade

  1. 1 medium size whole fish,cleaned (can use any fish according to preference)
  2. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  3. 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  4. 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  5. 1 tablespoon honey
  6. 1 tablespoon oil
  7. 1/2 lemon, sliced
  8. Pepper to taste
  9. Salt to taste

For the brushing

  1. 2 tablespoon honey
  2. 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  3. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  4. 2 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Wash the fish and pat dry with a kitchen towel
  2. In a bowl combine the marinade ingredients
  3. Rub the fish with the marinade mixture
  4. Stuff the fish with the lemon slices and some of the marinade mixture
  5. Heat the grill and spray some cooking oil so that the fish does not stick to the grill
  6. Combine all the ingredients for brushing the fish in a large bowl and mix well
  7. When the grill is nicely heated put the fish directly on the grill or you can also use a fish basket to prevent the fish from sticking
  8. After a few minutes brush the fish and once it becomes firm flip on the other side and brush
  9. Check the fish and at various intervals and keep brushing the fish until it is cooked (You will know that the fish is cooked, when it flakes easily with a fork and appear opaque all way through)
