Grilled Fish
Fish, stuffed with sliced lemon, is marinated with spices, herbs, lemon juice, soy sauce and honey and cooked on the grill with a simple brushing mixture.
Ingredients
For the fish and marinade
- 1 medium size whole fish,cleaned (can use any fish according to preference)
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/2 lemon, sliced
- Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
For the brushing
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Wash the fish and pat dry with a kitchen towel
- In a bowl combine the marinade ingredients
- Rub the fish with the marinade mixture
- Stuff the fish with the lemon slices and some of the marinade mixture
- Heat the grill and spray some cooking oil so that the fish does not stick to the grill
- Combine all the ingredients for brushing the fish in a large bowl and mix well
- When the grill is nicely heated put the fish directly on the grill or you can also use a fish basket to prevent the fish from sticking
- After a few minutes brush the fish and once it becomes firm flip on the other side and brush
- Check the fish and at various intervals and keep brushing the fish until it is cooked (You will know that the fish is cooked, when it flakes easily with a fork and appear opaque all way through)
