Tandoori Chicken

Chicken is marinated with yoghurt, lemon juice, herbs and a complex mix of spices for 12 hours and cooked in the oven to make delicious juicy red pieces.

Ingredients

  1. 10 chicken drumsticks
  2. 4 tablespoons plain yogurt
  3. 2 tablespoons onion paste
  4. 3 tablespoons tandoori powder
  5. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tablespoon ginger paste
  7. 1/4 tablespoon chili paste
  8. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  9. 1 tablespoon oil
  10. 3-4 lemon slices
  11. 1 tablespoon onion slices
  12. 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  13. Salt
  14. Pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the chicken drumsticks
  2. In a large bowl combine all the ingredients and marinate overnight in the refrigerator
  3. Preheat oven to 350⁰F (180⁰C)
  4. Cook in oven for about 20-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked
  5. Garnish with sliced lemon, onions and chopped coriander leaves
